Okay, I really can’t and shouldn’t post this up as a representation of Japanese culture, because it was on display at the human rights museum in Oosaka as an example of really old propaganda, but the very sight of it was so unbelievable to me that I had to spread the laughter. Or offense. I prefer the former.

It’s an advertisement for an acne remedy, apparently. Because, you know, if your acne’s bad enough you’ll turn into a golliwog. AND NOBODY WANTS THAT, NOW DO YOU? (more…)
